Today we made Chocolate Nut Cake!
1/4C butter, 1C sugar, 2 eggs, 1 1/2C flour, 1t baking powder, 1/2C milk, 6 oz (1C) chocolate chips, 1/6C unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/2C coarsely chopped walnuts, 1/2C coarsely chopped roasted almonds with sea salt
Preheat oven to 350F. Cream butter with sugar.
In separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients. Melt 1/2C chocolate chips. Cool.
Add to wet ingredients.
Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to wet, beginning and ending with dry, just until blended.
Stir in nuts and 1/2C chocolate chips.
Turn into greased extra large loaf pan.
Bake 45-50 minutes or until knife inserted in center emerges clean. Drizzle with chocolate syrup if desired.
