Today we made Frozen Drunken Strawberry Pie!

1/2C water, 3T cornstarch, 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped into 1/4″ to 1/2″ pieces, 1/2C cherry brandy, 1C graham cracker pie shell, 1/2C sugar

Mix cornstarch with sugar in medium saucepan.

Add water over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened, about 15 minutes.

A streak made with the finger on the back of the mixing spoon shouldn’t flow together.

Remove from heat. Quickly stir in brandy until blended.

Fold in strawberries.

Lemon Strawberry Ice Milk

Today we made Lemon Strawberry Ice Milk!

juice of 1 medium lemon, 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced, 2/3C sugar, 14 oz sweetened condensed milk, 1C non-dairy whipped topping, chilled

Puree strawberries in blender. Run through fine-mesh sieve.

Today we made Mango Blackberry Sorbet!

1C sugar, 1C water, 4 oz fresh blackberries, 1 medium mango, peeled and chopped

Puree blackberries in blender. Push through fine mesh sieve. Puree mango.

Stir into blackberries. In small saucepan, heat sugar and water.

Mocha Ice Milk

Today we made Mocha Ice Milk!

1C chocolate chips, 1/4C unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/2C sugar, 14 oz sweetened condensed milk, 1C brewed coffee, cooled, 1 1/2C skim milk

Constantly stir coffee, cocoa powder and sugar over medium heat until well blended and thickened slightly.

Today we made Strawberry Wine Sorbet!

16 oz fresh strawberries, 1C sugar, 3/4C sweet red wine, 1/4C water

Mix sugar, water and wine over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally or until sugar is dissolved. Cool.

12 oz fresh cherries, 1/2C sugar, 1C no-refined-sugar-added peach nectar, 1C water

Mix sugar and water over low heat until dissolved. Cool.

Today we made Frozen Cherry Pistachio Pie!

2C coarsely chopped pitted fresh cherries, 6 oz whole pistachios without shells, 1/2C water, 3T cornstarch, 1/2C sugar, 1 graham cracker pie shell

Over medium heat, mix together water, sugar and cornstarch in saucepan until the consistency of gelatin, stirring constantly about 10 minutes.

Mango Frozen Yogurt

Today we made Mango Frozen Yogurt!

1 medium mango, pureed, 16 oz nonfat plain yogurt, 1/2C sugar

Make yogurt cheese: Put yogurt in fine-mesh sieve over bowl covered with plastic wrap. Chill overnight. Stir together yogurt and puree with rubber spatula.
